Text for Photo #31.9: Correction

When the puppy does not return any Negotiation signals, the Setter lunges into action: “Puppies should be more polite!”

She rolls the puppy over and stays in the puppy’s space.

The Setter has made the ultimate invasion into body space - a Correction. Corrections of this type often consist of a growl and a lunge, accompanied by an open mouth bite.

The puppy, who is outclassed and knows it, says “Uncle.” She has allowed herself to be tumbled over and tucks her tail and all of her legs close into her body into a fetal position. She keeps her nose oriented towards the Setter, though. Her eyes are squinty, now!
